New Day – New Year
If you have not already done so, now is the time most of us begin taking time to write out or at least begin thinking about our goals for the coming year. You may want to consider committing to a change in your everyday life. One helpful change to consider is to become more organized.
Write a list of simple and achievable goals. It is a good idea to choose small, specific goals that are realistic and attainable. You might consider taking a big aspiration and breaking it down into small, measurable goals. Don’t set your goals so high that they are impossible to accomplish. Set a time table but don’t be afraid to change the dates if needed.
Staying organized is a good goal for most. If accomplished, you will save time, reduce stress, and allow you to be able to handle unexpected opportunities. A good way to begin this is to clear out the clutter.
If you are not careful, clutter can simply build up and take on a life of its own. Take a look through your home. If you haven’t used it or worn it for more than a year it is time to give or throw it away. Make a plan to eliminate clutter from your home once a month.
After creating your list of goals, post it in a spot where you will see it every day. Make a commitment to yourself to be better. Occasionally, reflect on what you have accomplished and what you still need to accomplish.
Make each day of 2012 count. Commit to becoming a better you.
